Two commentaries of this article have been published in the June 2002 issue of the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia.

G. Bryson underlines the importance of exercizing caution when interpreting the results of such a systematic review. He maintains that the absence of statistical risk is not conducive to albumin’s safety.

P. Choi echoes G. Bryson’s concerns of interpretation and concludes that further research is necessary in order to make any claims concerning albumin’s safety.
