Immunoglobulin therapy in pregnant women with antibodies against platelet antigens of the fetus and neonetal alloimmune thrombocytopenia in the previous child proved successful. This study, which was not controlled or randomized, showed at least no disadvantage of a less invasive treatment strategy omitting regular fetal blood sampling and intra-uterine platelet transfusion.
