Aprotinin in orthotopic liver transplantation: Evidence for a prohemostatic, but not a prothrombotic, effect.

This study supports the hypothesis that aprotinin is an anticoagulant which prolongs the aPTT and has no or marginal risks of thromboembolic complications.
