This is a case report on intrapartum use of recombinant factor VIIa (rFVIIa) in a pregnant woman with factor VII deficiency (1%), leading to normalization of a prolonged prothrombin time with no excessive bleeding. The paper also presents a literature review on treatment of factor VII deficiency and the use of rFVIIa in pregnancy.
