This is a case report on 3 patients who suffered traumatic or surgical central nervous system bleeding associated with moderate factor VII deficiency and were successfully treated with rFVIIa after failure to respond to vitamin K and FFP. The etiology for factor VII deficiency is thought to be acquired, but factor VII was subsequently measured only in one patient after recovery and found to be normal.
