NATA Review

Albumin versus various colloids including several HES preparations has been evaluated in many recent trials in cardiopulmonary bypass. This trial, reporting no difference between albumin and HES 130/0.4 on coagulation variables, blood loss and immunological activity does not add any new information to the body of evidence already present in the area.
