PCC is used in several centers to control excessive bleeding after cardiac surgery. Unfortunately, the level of evidence supporting this practice is low. The present trial does not add much to the situation. At best, it can be considered evidence in favor of conducting a randomized controlled trial to test the hypothesis that PCC may be beneficial in this context.
