NATA Review
This is a retrospective investigation of the impact of fibrinogen levels on outcome in trauma patients receiving massive transfusion. In alignment with several previous reports the authors find that low fibrinogen levels are associated with poor outcome. The authors correctly state that there is a need for randomized controlled clinical trials addressing this issue.
