Using a prospective observational registry that included 1064 patients, the authors were able to show that anemia (according to the WHO definition) refines the predictive value of the GRACE score (the Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events) recommended as a decision-making algorithm for the management of patients with acute coronary syndromes.
