Thorsten Haas, MD is an anesthesiologist who has specialized in pediatric anesthesia.

Dr. Haas is currently working as the Director of Patient Blood Management and professor of anesthesiology. The focus of his research is on viscoelastic coagulation testing, perioperative coagulation management, and Patient Blood Management.

Dr. Haas is a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) Subgroup for Perioperative Coagulation Management, the Transfusion-Anemia eXpert Initiative (TAXI-CAB), the Scientific Committee for NATA, and the External Steering Committee for Patient Blood Management of the World Health Organization (WHO).
