Prof. Dr. med. Patrick Meybohm is Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care, Emergency and Pain Medicine at the University Hospital Würzburg. He studied in Göttingen, started his training as an anesthesiologist/intensive care physician at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein and moved to the University Hospital Frankfurt in 2012.

His research area is intensive care medicine, perioperative outcome, and patient blood management. He is principal investigator of several clinical trials and (co-)author of more than 300 papers. Many of his papers have been awarded scientific prizes.
