Consultant in Anaesthesia and Peri-operative Medicine. Dr Rao Baikady specialises in management of major cancer surgeries and also as a peri-operative physician in anaesthesia focussing on pre-operative risk assessment to improve patient outcome after major cancer surgeries.

His research projects include peri-operative anaemia management, cardio-pulmonary exercise testing, Type of Anaesthesia, Prehabilitation prior to major cancer surgery and evidence based management of major haemorrhage. He was also part of the team which published two consensus statements on anaemia management in surgery and blood transfusion guidelines.
