Young NATA Scholarship

NATA is offering 25 exclusive scholarships to support young professionals eager to expand their knowledge in Patient Blood Management (PBM), Haemostasis, and Thrombosis

Application: November 2025

This scholarship provides a unique opportunity to:

The awardees will receive:

  • 3 nights’ accommodation – 29 April – 02 May
  • A lump sum of €400 towards travel
  • Registration to the PBM Implementation Workshop, Saturday 02 May.

This grant provides a unique opportunity to:

  • Grow Your Network: Establish lasting professional connections across the globe.

The awardees will receive:

  • 3 nights’ accommodation in the faculty hotel – 23-25 April
  • A lump sum of €400 towards travel
  • Registration to the PBM Implementation Workshop, Saturday 26 April.


Who can apply?

  • Trainees who are working in or interested in the management of anaemia and iron deficiency, critical bleeding and thrombosis trainee doctors (eg: anaesthesiologists, intensive care and emergency specialist, surgeons, obstetricians) haematologists, transfusion medicine specialists, perfusionists, nurses, biomedical scientists
  • Under the age of 35
  • Preference will be given to trainees who have submitted an abstract for presentation in Munich
  • Applications are encouraged from candidates living and working in Low and Low Middle Income Countries
  • Previous grant recipients are not eligible.


Application requirements:

1. Cover letter of maximum 200 words explaining why you want to attend NATA25 and how participating in the congress will contribute to your understanding of PBM.

2. Agreement to write a 300 word article about their NATA25 experience to be used in full or in part by NATA on Twitter, LinkedIn, the NATA Newsletter and NATA Website

3. Agreement to be photographed and named for promotion on Twitter, LinkedIn, the NATA Newsletter and NATA Website

  1.  Complete your application form
  2.  Upload a copy of ID card or passport
  3.  Upload confirmation of position and place of work from the Chair of Department
  4.  Upload cover letter (including details relevant to the application criteria above)

Terms and Conditions:

  • Awardees must attend all NATA25 sessions and the NATA Workshop
  • The travel lump sum will be paid immediately after the congress
  • Awardees must register for NATA25 by 29 February 2025 – registration fees will apply
